Donald Trump warns Russia: In the latest statement released by the White House, US President Donald Trump has warned Russia against any attempt to interfere in the upcoming presidential polls to be held in 2020. According to the reports, Trump in a rare interview with the top Russian diplomat Sergey Lavrov at the Oval office had discussed a number of issues including trade, Iran and North Korea including warning Russia not to create any interferences in the presidential elections to be held in 2020.

However, at a solo press conference, Lavrov refuted the US statement and said that they did not even discuss the US elections during the meeting. Sharing the news of the meeting on social media, Trump also posted a picture of himself with the Russian diplomat on Twitter. He wrote on his post that he had “a very good meeting” with Lavrov and the country’s other representatives.

Meanwhile, the statement released by the White House said that the US President had been briefed by the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Lavrov regarding their discussions on status of the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
